Most of the early awards will be condensed for the show later, so they can cut out the interesting and fun bits, like Jonny from Highly Suspect singing the line "I can't fucking breathe" during their performance of "Lydia" in front of a mostly empty hall. Highly Suspect got screwed on Best Rock Song, as it was given to Alabama Shakes. WTF?

The only winners I really agree with are the Ghost victory for Best Metal Performance, and Muse's win for Best Rock Album. The Ghost album Meliora is one of the best albums to come out last year, and their win for "Cirice" kicks a lot of ass. The other nominees were great too, this was a tough one for me, since I love the new Lamb of God album, Slipknot's latest is solid, and I've always loved Sevendust. Ghost was in amazing company in that category.

Muse is one of those bands that puts out a lot of great stuff, and plays amazing shows, so it's really cool to see them win for the Drones album. Slipknot and Highly Suspect are the only other albums in this category that deserved to be there, in the Best Rock Album category.

If the Foo Fighters don't win for Best Rock Performance with "Something From Nothing", then the Grammys can eat a d***. None of the rest of those nominees are good enough to lick the crust from Dave Grohl's toes.
