Ali popped into town in 23 years ago to help raise money for the Ronald McDonald House, which provides lodging for families of children receiving treatment at the DeVos Childrens Hospital. Ali, already feeling the effects of his Parkinson's Disease on his voice, entertained local children with sparring moves, magic tricks, and embraced local boxing legend Buster Mathis, who he fought in the early '70s.
