Unless you’re fluent in Russian (and we’re not), you’ll have a hard time figuring out what the story is in this new trailer for an upcoming horror film called The Bride. The subtitles aren’t in English, so we’re definitely missing out on what appears to be some sort of narrative setup, but one thing is for sure: Whatever the hell is going on in this trailer, it’s terrifying.

A new trailer for The Bride hit the internet today (via Screen Anarchy), and guys, this thing looks super scary. I have no idea what’s happening here, but there seem to be two timelines: One in the past that involves a photographer and the corpse of a bride, and one set in the present day as the titular ghost comes back to possess / haunt the crap out of some people. Like one of Stefon’s night clubs on SNL, this trailer has everything: Nosebleeds, a corpse bride, some woman crawling J-horror-style toward the camera, jump scares, a wedding.

Unfortunately, we can’t find an actual plot synopsis anywhere, but here’s what we do know: The Bride was written and directed by Svyatoslav Podgayevskiy, a Russian filmmaker whose previous credits include last year’s inventively-titled Queen of Spades: The Dark Rite. There’s currently no US release date for his new film, but it hits Russian theaters in January, so maybe we’ll see it creep over to the States sometime next year?

In the meantime, enjoy your nightmares.
