Watch Talib Kweli Cover the Stooges’ ‘Search and Destroy’ [Video]

Rapper Talib Kweli recently dropped by our sister site the Boombox for a chat and performance, which you really should check out.

But our favorite moment of the hip-hop vet's set came when he chose to cover a proto-punk classic: the Stooges' 'Search and Destroy.'

Kweli told Boombox that he was inspired by the 1973 song's appearance in the movie 'Almost Famous.' Either way, Kweli does a pretty fierce version of it, which you can see above.
