Tales from the Crypt Fans Recreate the Classic Opening in Bad Ass CGI [Video]

Remember the classic show "Tales From the Crypt"? Of course you do, it was a really cool horror show that spawned a couple of movies, and made a desiccated corpse puppet into a superstar!

There were a lot of really cool stories, actors, and subjects aired in that show, and was one of the only really good horror TV shows for quite a while. I still don't understand why horror hasn't worked on TV that well.

But one thing I was never super enthusiastic about was the cheesy opening, with the obvious miniatures, and questionable editing for the intro.

Well, these fans have fixed all of that with this amazing new video! Benabdallah Adel and Penoit Damien, with effects help from Omar Meradi and Toufik Mekbel have completely (almost) recreated the entire opening title shot for the show in high-quality 3D CGI, and it looks absolutely amazing!

If they ever bring the show back, they should totally use this intro, and just add the Crypt Keeper into it. Hell, maybe make the Crypt Keeper into a fantastic CGI character, too!

We'll just have to wait and see. Until then enjoy the updated intro above, and the original below for comparison.
