You've heard us all talking about the new studio we finally got to get into this week, and how we're all getting used to it.  It's really cool, and really open, which is unusual for a lot of stations. Most of the time, you're buried behind a million computer screens, hoping the other people in the room are still there, and you're not talking to yourself.

In case you haven't seen or heard us talking about it, the GRD studio is getting a bit of an upgrade!  We're really excited about it, and it's fun to watch all the toys arrive, and to see the room get stripped down and rebuilt! This week is the 10th anniversary of Free Beer and Hot Wings coming to WGRD and Grand Rapids to inflict their brand of humor on the city and the world!  This is a big achievement for a morning show, to make it this long, and we're really happy to have the guys here in our great city! I went surfing through my normal stops for records a few days ago and went through a couple of the CD's. I could use this picture for a Throwback Thursday, but I felt as though it fit the Random Pic portion better. Time to fly back a long time ago and look at some of the CD's that WGRD used to sell that featured local artist and everything!

This morning, I joined Free Beer, Hot Wings and Eric Zane, of "The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show," in the 97.9 WGRD studio to chat before my show. We talked about a plethora of things, ranging from the race I ran with Eric Zane last week to camera-toting gynecologists.
