It was reported that Tera Wray Static, the widow of Static-X frontman Wayne Static, had died of an apparent suicide at the age of 33. Now, a coroner has confirmed that Tera Wray did indeed take her own life.
Sadly, we lost Wayne Static last year, and the cause of his death has now been released to the public. Blabbermouth broke the story today that Wayne mixed prescription medicine with alcohol shortly before his death.
A "cocktail of Xanax and other powerful prescription drugs with alcohol" was what killed the Static X founder and frontman on November 1st, 2014.
Before Wayne Static passed away last year, he was about to hit the road on another tour, and placed an order with Dean Guitars for some new gear. He'd asked for a couple new custom versions of his Dean Modifier ML for the trek.
Unfortunately, he never got to tour with these guitars.
