What, you never heard of Watain? If you are looking for some really extreme heavy metal, you should look no further than Watain. It's not everyday that I get to talk to the man himself when they made it state-side last year.

When I think extreme performance, Watain is the definition of that for me. I have yet to see these guys live, but after watching video's of them perform, it is one of the most awesome and disgusting things I will ever see. It's metal as hell! Then I got the email saying, "Hey, wanna talk to Watain?" Well, of course I do!

Last night in Detroit, Metalheads flocked to the the city to check out the rare occasion when the Swedish Death Metal group WATAIN hits the town for a bad ass show. Sadly I missed it, but my friends from MOSHPIT NATION checked it out. Also, it's not everyday where WATAIN checks in on WZZM 13's TAKE FIVE studios!

There is some crazy metal out there man. Sure we hear the usual stuff like Slipknot, Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, but once you start digging into the underground, you will find some really heavy nastiness, that is where WATAIN comes in!
