Seether Believes the Music Industry Will Become All Digital in Near Future
October 6, 2011 The way we consume music has changed dramatically in the last 10 years, as the rise of file sharing sites like Napster and the late Steve Jobs' introduction of the Apple iPod and iTunes irreversibly changed the face of the music industry. CD sales have plummeted in the last decade while digital downloads, legal and illegal, have replaced their physical predecessors. Music fans may have enjoyed the benefits but this has left many bands and record labels at a crossroads; their music can spread quicker and farther but revenue has decreased. Seether are just one of many artists who do not see things going back to the way they were.
