Mitchell's Run

Today on Segment 16, the guys talk about this weekend's Mitchell's Run through Rockford. There are a couple runs this weekend, and if you haven't run Mitchell's Run yet, it's a good one to get into.

The 16th annual Mitchell’s Run Thru Rockford, a five-kilometer (3.1-mile) run/walk and kids' fun run, is Aug. 16 in downtown Rockford. Proceeds from the benefit go to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy, a non-profit dedicated to expediting viable treatments and a cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal genetic disorder that slowly robs those stricken with the disease of their muscle strength.

A West Michigan man and a West Michigan running event are both gaining national publicity tonight due to a story aired on ESPN. The sport's channel's popular show E:60 featured Rockford native Johnny Agar and the popular Mitchell's Run on Tuesday night's episode.
