It's back and ready for metal! Last year, local metal group Withhold the Blood was crowned the 2014 GRD Heavyweight champ! However, it's a new year and we need a new champion for 2015. It's time to welcome in the GRD Heavyweights once again at The Intersection!

I can only think of good times when I think of the original Nintendo. The amazing games that I continue to play today are treasured memories that remind me of childhood so well. Even though the NES isn't my all time favorite game console, it is a VERY close second. Hard to believe this iconic video game system is 30 years old.

One of my most interesting memories of hockey was when I was at a hockey game a really long time. It was a Grand Rapids Griffins game to be exact, one of my first ones. I love going to the Griffins games, they are always a lot of fun. However, I always wondered if a hockey puck would leave the ice sometime.

Collecting video games is just something I like to do. Searching out the gems in dirty basements, flea markets, and gaming stores. The feeling of when you find a rare title and it's marked for $2! I was given the opportunity to display a decent portion of my gaming collection, so I did, and you can check it out too!

If you were listening to the WGRD All Request New Year's Eve Show, you would have heard some of us in our prime! We had a good time and we hope you did, too! While you were making out with someone or celebrating, we were singing that song that your supposed to sing on New Year's. Give us a break, by the way. We're not the best singers.

White Castle, we may not have one here in Grand Rapids, but I will travel a very far distance for those little burgers. I had these fine burger only a few weeks ago in Ypsilanti, MI because I was on that side of town! This may not affect the Grand Rapids area much, but as a White Castle fan...buyers beware...they now carry Veggie Sliders.

I own a Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 and they are great consoles. Lately though, they have been sitting and collecting dust, or are Netflix machines. I used to play games online quite frequently! Racking up big scores and yelling at people online. I have really grown tired of it.

It's the holidays, and everyone has a funny/embarrassing story or two they can dredge up from their past.  So, we decided to share some of our funny Christmas stories with all of you! From car-totalling soda runs, to pooping and peeing ourselves, breaking noses, throwing fits, barfing, stitches, drinking, and sitting impatiently beside gifts, there's something for everyone in our little stories! Every year, you either watch 24 hours of 'A Christmas Story' or you quote 'Elf' till you annoy the person next to you. What is the best Christmas special though? We all know of your Charlie Browns and your Christmas Vacations, but there is one Christmas special that has fallen between the cracks and should be enjoyed by families every year.
