Theory of a Deadman “So Happy” Live at Rock on the Range 2014 [Video]

Rock on the Range has rapidly become the biggest sort of European-style festival in the U.S., and there are more that are building quickly as well, which is great!  The chance to go to one place and be able to experience so many bands in a short amount of time, covering all different kinds of rock and metal is something the U.S. has been way behind Europe.

Theory of a Deadman hit the main stage at ROTR on Saturday, May 17th, just after 5 in the afternoon, and played a great set, kicking things off with their song, "So Happy".

Staind ‘It’s Been Awhile’ Live at Rock on the Range 2014 [Video]

Rock on the Range has rapidly become the biggest sort of European-style festival in the U.S., and there are more that are building quickly as well, which is great!  The chance to go to one place and be able to experience so many bands in a short amount of time, covering all different kinds of rock and metal is something the U.S. has been way behind Europe.

One of the bands on the main stage during Rock on the Range 2014 was Staind, who have been away again while Aaron Lewis does his solo country music.  They can still rock pretty hard when together, though!

Rock on the Range 2014 Day 3 Photos

The final day of Rock on the Range 2014 was much warmer and less rainy than days one and two, which a lot of people really enjoyed!  The bands loved the weather, but really enjoyed the thousands of people that crowded their stages and partied really hard with them on Sunday, May 18th!  The crowd showed no signs of slowing down on the third full day of shows, and crowd-surfed and moshed all day!

Nothing More came through town recently with Chevelle (check out the video), and if you missed them, they will be coming back to town in September with Five Finger Death Punch and Volbeat.  They also rocked it hard this weekend at Rock on the Range 2014!  They kicked off their set on the Ernie Ball stage with one of my favorite songs, "Christ Copyright", from their new album, Nothing More.

Alter Bridge hit the stage in one of their last performances before Myles hits the road this summer with Slash, and Mark begins more work on his next solo Tremonti CD.

They roared onto the main stage at Rock on the Range with their huge song, "Addicted to Pain", and got the crowd riled up and ready for their set of great song after great song!

Myles sounded amazing, and Mark ripped out the solos to the songs, while Brian and Scott kept the groove going throughout the set.

Trivium’s ‘Brave This Storm’ Live at Rock on the Range 2014

Trivium literally destroyed singer Matt Heafy's voice at Rock on the Range this weekend.  Trivium hit the main stage with a heavy set, filled with great songs like "Brave This Storm", "Black", "Built to Fall" and more.

The news has just come out that the band has to cancel the rest of their shows for the next couple weeks so Matt can rest his throat after their ROTR performance.  Talk about giving it your all!

We As Human’s ‘Dead Man’ Live at Rock on the Range 2014 [Video]

We As Human is a great band from Nashville, and they rocked the Ernie Ball stage at Rock on the Range 2014 on Saturday, May 17th!

The guys should be familiar to 'GRD listeners, as we had them in the studio for an acoustic performance the day they opened for Skillet here in Grand Rapids in March.

Great guys, fantastic band!

Check out the band kicking off their set at Rock on the Range with their song, "Dead Man" from their new album We As Human.

Five Finger Death Punch Performs ‘Lift Me Up’ at Rock on the Range 2014 [Video]

Sunday night, day 3 of Rock on the Range was a great time for Five Finger Death Punch to hit the stage for their blistering set in Columbus, OH.  They hit the stage right before Kid Rock, and the crowd went absolutely nuts for the band, singing along, crowd surfing, and moshing during the entire set!

They cranked through a lot of songs during their set, including "Burn MF", "Bad Company", "Hard to See" and this one, the first single from The Wrong Side of Heaven & the Righteous Side of Hell, Vol 1, "Lift Me Up"!
