Last week, In Flames brought some noisy metal back to Kalamazoo, while on tour with Hellyeah, From Ashes to New, and Source. I've been a fan of In Flames since I heard Colony a long time ago, so I've been looking forward to the show for a while now. They did not disappoint.
Thursday night, December 1st, Hellyeah hit the Kalamazoo State Theater with In Flames, From Ashes to New, and Source, for an amazing metal show. All four bands kicked ass, and the crowd was having a great time, singing along, moshing, crowd surfing...everything a good metal show should have!
On Thursday night, December 1st, I drove down to Kalamazoo to see some great bands at the Kalamazoo State Theater. Really nice theater, and I've been a fan of In Flames since I first heard Colony. Their new album, Battles, came out last month, and they're touring the US with Hellyeah, From Ashes to New, and Source.
Today, I got to speak with the singer of a band I've been a fan of for quite some time, In Flames! Anders called to talk about the new album, Battles, the show coming up December 1st with Hellyeah, and their new drummer.
About 14 years ago, Vinnie and Darrell recorded Phil Collins' "I Don't Care Anymore" while working on the Damageplan album, but never used it. On the new album from Hellyeah, the band decided to cover the song and make it theirs, and use Dime's guitar parts to make it special and honor his memory.
This is the result.
