When Guitar Hero Ruled the World … and Then Vanished

Most people today still know about the juggernaut known as Guitar Hero.

It was a game where you and your friends picked up plastic instruments that had multi-colored buttons on it and pressed them to a rythem. It was fun -- a lot of fun!

Guitar Hero was about battling friends to who could get the highest score to awesome songs from Rob Zombie, Avenged Sevenfold, Buckethead and more!

Game Boy Camera … My First Digital Camera [Video]

Before digital cameras were common in every single cell phone out there, they cost around a billion dollars.

Digital cameras back then were big, clunky and didn't really take the best pictures.

Today, you can get a decent digital camera for about $100 (or just use your smart phone).

As a kid though, you would take pics with your disposable camera and have to wait what seemed like forever till your parents brought the thing to Meijer. Then, this thing came around and made cameras fun for me, a collaboration of gaming and photography.

Metalhead Ned’s Favorite Video Games of 2013

How Much Would a Retro Game Console Cost if Adjusted for Inflation?

When I saw this picture, I was stunned by how much my Intellivision game console would cost today!

I bought the thing at a garage sale used I think for $40 with about 20 games, which was a pretty good deal. Then, I look at what it would have cost today if I bought the thing brand new fresh from the manufacturer. It's insane!

Blowing Into Those Nintendo Game Cartridges: Does that Really Work?

Sega Genesis is 25 Years Old…Feel Old Yet?

25 years...that is a long time am I right? What were you doing 25 years ago? Were you even born yet? I was born in 1987 (making me 26 years old), and my first game console was the NES. I loved that little grey box...it introduced me to the 8-Bit world! Mario, TMNT, Back to the Future...you name it, Nintendo had it! As I got older, I wanted more awesome graphics, and a neighbor (my friend of over 20 years now) owned this black beast named Sega Genesis...and it was awesome.
