games to try before you die

There was a lot of good racing games out there for the Nintendo 64. Mario Kart 64, Diddy Kong Racing, Micro Machines, etc. Racing games were everywhere during the era of Nintendo 64 and Playstation. Kind of like what we see with First Person Shooters today...they are just everywhere. This game though brought me into the world of 3D racing!

This week though, I am going to break the mold with a game that you should try for sure that will be retro in the near future. Where do I begin with this game? The game has topped many list as possibly the best game of all time. Say what you want with you Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty, Battlefields, and even Zelda. If you are to play one game before you pass on, it needs to be Super Metroid.

Heck yea man, freakin' MEGA MAN! The Blue Bomber totally rocked the NES back in the day man. Stellar gameplay, challenging levels, and kick face music! There have been a ton of Mega Man games it seems like, and they do continue to make them too! But why is Mega Man 2 so good?

There are quite a few games that you need to own for your old skool NES. Some of those might be Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Metroid, Contra, etc. You could most likely name off a ton of your favorite games. When I was growing up, I played a lot more Nintendo 64. Now my brother on the other hand had a Playstation. To me at the time, the graphics looked all pixelated, blockey, and whatever. This game gave me so much stress as a kid, I am pretty sure I developed some sort of psychological complex to where I just see this game in my collection, I get angry! I mean seriously, this game was meant for kids, so why does it have to be so DIFFICULT! If you know about this game, I am sure that you broke at least 8 controllers from playing it.

There have been so many Mario Kart games, it is hard to narrow down to the best one. Double Dash is good, the first is fun, Mario Kart 7 is the embodiment of all the good ones. When it comes down to it though, grabbing 3 friends and battling it out on one TV is still as fun as it was over 10 years ago.

Grand Theft Auto is one of the most popular games of all time. The anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 5 higher than any of the GTA games, and still, no official release date has been announced. All of that aside, the new GTA games are graphic as hell man. GTA III came out on Playstation 2 and revolutionized and inspired many new games today, but we all gotta start somewhere don't we?

Donkey Kong has been around since what seems like the dawn of time. It is one of the biggest games of all time. Donkey Kong has and always will be a key character in the Nintendo world.
