Right when it was safe for Michiganders to go back to eating lettuce, the USDA's Food and Safety Inspection has announced a recall on over 32,000 pounds of ground beef sold at Meijer, Sam's Club, Target, and more stores in Michigan after one person died and another 17 became ill from an e. coli outbreak.

The CDC reports that 32 people infected with the outbreak strain of E. coli have been reported from 11 states, including Michigan.
