Check Out WGRD’s New Studio – It’s Done!

You've heard us all talking about the new studio we finally got to get into this week, and how we're all getting used to it.  It's really cool, and really open, which is unusual for a lot of stations.

Most of the time, you're buried behind a million computer screens, hoping the other people in the room are still there, and you're not talking to yourself.

WGRD’s New Studio Construction Diary – Part 3

The new GRD studio is nearing completion!  We're all stoked to see the new GRD taking shape, with new carpet, millions of TVs, brand new mixing board, lighting, cameras...it's exhausting even thinking about!

Our engineering department, Mike and Ryan, have done an amazing job with the studio, and things are coming together nicely.

Last time, we left off with the lighting going in, the carpet, and some furniture.

WGRD’s New Studio Construction Diary – Part 2

The work continues on the new digs for WGRD!  We left off last time with Hot Wings, Producer Steve, and Johnnie Walker getting together for a painting party.  The walls were nasty, so things got painted up really nicely.

Hot Wings – Producer Steve – Johnnie Walker Paint WGRD’s Studio

In case you haven't seen or heard us talking about it, the GRD studio is getting a bit of an upgrade!  We're really excited about it, and it's fun to watch all the toys arrive, and to see the room get stripped down and rebuilt!

Last night, Hot Wings picked up some paint, and he, Steve, and I spackled (I love that word), taped off stuff, and got to work painting the studio.  Our studio walls were pretty...well...nasty.  After a lot of years and use, they weren't the kind of walls you'd want to touch.

WGRD is Finally Getting Some New Digs!

The GRD studios are finally getting upgraded!  The board has been dying for quite a while now, which I'm sure you've heard the guys on Free Beer and Hot Wings talking about, whenever a microphone channel would go down.

But finally the time is here!  We've got new equipment coming in, new furniture, we're going to paint the walls and get new carpet, too!

Luckily, Hot Wings is pretty handy, so we'll be learning from him all about wall-painting, hanging cool wall-stuff (that's some kind of technical talk there), and carrying heavy objects.
