The Grand Rapids Planning Commission voted unanimously Thursday to deny the request to build a Chick-fil-A on land formerly occupied by Fajita Republic on the East Beltline, just north of Knapp's Corner.

Chick-fil-A in Lansing is the first stand-alone restaurant to open in Michigan Thursday, October 13 and people have been camped out since 6 a.m. Wednesday.
