Canine Influenza Outbreak in Chicago, No Immediate Threat in Michigan
An outbreak of canine influenza requiring the treatment of 100 dogs has closed a Chicago animal shelter. Last spring, more than 1,000 dogs in the Chicago area became sick, according to NBC Chicago.
However, there have been no widespread reports of canine influenza in Michigan.
