Pop Evil is building the excitement for their fourth album's release this month, with a new lyric video for another song from 'Up'! This song is called 'Dead in the Water', and freaking rocks! I hope they play this one live at their show on August 21st at the Intersection! Get the album that day, and then come out to the show, it's going to be awesome!

I've been hearing a lot of great things about this amazing all-star album that's coming out on September 18th, featuring a huge list of amazing musicians, including Gary Holt, Randy Blythe, Phil Anselmo, Rex Brown, Chuck Billy, and many more. It's called Metal Allegiance, and is being led by Mike Portnoy, Alex Skolnick, and David Ellefson.

Disturbed really kept the fact that they got back together a big secret, until last weekend, when they put up a countdown, and then dropped not only a new song, but a music video  last week! You guys have been calling for 'The Vengeful One' a lot, which kicks ass. Now, the band is releasing a multi-part web series on the making of the new album, 'Immortalized'.

Five Life-Changing Rock Albums You Should Own
I can chart a sort of path through my life with music. I can remember (sort of) how things led me to other things, songs led me to albums, albums led me to bands, bands led me to other bands...you get the idea. With the return of the vinyl album (even if I argue that it didn't really go away), lots of people are buying cheap turntables to listen to the new albums they bought on Record Store Day. But those cheap things are bad for the albums, digging into the grooves. Even good turntables will eventually destroy the albums you listen to, since it's a sharp diamond needle dragging across the vinyl. But now

The new Three Days Grace album, Human, comes out next Tuesday, and to prepare us for the new release, the band has released a new song to get us ready. The song is called 'Human Race', and it's a bit different than the last two songs they've sent us from the new album. 'Human Race' is a lot more moody, and has more synth sounds in it than either 'I Am Machine' or 'Painkiller'.

Three Days Grace is ready to release their new album, Human, on March 31st, and they've been riding high with the success of both 'Painkiller', and 'I Am Machine' over the last year. To get Grand Rapids ready for the new album, Brad called in to talk to me about the new album, how the songs got written, and how touring affected the songs:

After retailers, musicians' unions, labels and other groups met to discuss album releases and piracy, it's been decided that beginning this summer, albums will come out on the same day everywhere. Instead of new music coming out on Tuesdays in the U.S., albums will be released on Fridays beginning this summer.
