Adele Trademarks Her Name

While she still hasn't revealed the name of her son, who born in October, British singer Adele has reportedly trademarked her own moniker. She has done so in order to protect it, so that savvy marketers can't use her name to sell perfume, jewelry or other items without her consent. She doesn't want to be associated with products she doesn't endorse and doesn't want her fanbase "tricked" into thinking she is involved based on the usage of her name.

The Grammys aren't the only major awards musicians can win. There's also the Academy Award for the Best Original Song in a film, and Arcade Fire, Adele and the Black Keys have made the shortlist of 75 artists up for that prestigious honor.

Who said rock was dead? Don't say that to the Foo Fighters. They took home four gongs at the 54th Annual Grammy Awards last night (February 12). Other big winners at the ceremony included dubstep poster boy Skrillex and the girl that everyone loves to cheer for, Adele. However, there were a few low points in last night's show, including Foos frontman Dave Grohl being cut off during an acceptance speech.

Linkin Park may have strayed away from their nu-metal roots with their last album, A Thousand Suns, but few would expect the band to cover Adele. Vocalists Chester Bennington and Mike Shinoda performed an acoustic session with LP fan club members in Germany when the duo decided to do their take on the U.K. songtress' hit, "Rolling In The Deep".
