Making the best of a bad situation, Midland's Travis Spry donned his dinosaur outfit and launched his kayak into the flooded streets.

Summer storms caused heavy flooding in Mid-Michigan at the end of June, affecting Midland and Mt. Pleasant the most. Midland's Tittabawassee River couldn't handle the 7 inches of rain that fell overnight and widespread flooding was the result. Travis Spry got national attention on CBS Evening News and MLive picked up the story too.
