UPDATE (5/2/16 4:30 p.m.): The Grand Rapids Police Department say that they have arrested 19-year-old Marcus Bivens for stabbing and assaulting Jeanne Huntoon near GRCC's campus.

It is believed that Huntoon did not know Bivens and police believe that this was a "random act of violence."

Bivens has been charged with open murder and will likely be arraigned on Tuesday.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Grand Rapids Police Department have made an arrest in connection with the homicide that happened this weekend near Grand Rapids Community College.

The GRPD will be releasing more information later today.

The body of a woman was found early Saturday morning at the GRCC parking ramp on Bostwick in downtown Grand Rapids. A witness called police around 2:45 a.m. saying that they saw a man dragging a body into some bushes near a parking structure.

The victim was described as a woman between the ages of 30 and 40.  Police have not publicly identified the victim, but family told FOX 17 that the victim was likely Jeanne Huntoon. The family is awaiting positive identification after an autopsy is performed.

Several friends and family members have been posting to Facebook about Huntoon's death as well.
