Staind's Aaron Lewis and Mike Mushok let it be known that tension and added stress during the recording of their latest self titled album helped get them in the mood for a heavier sound. In an upcoming documentary called  'The Making of Staind,'  they talk of hard times like having a band member quit halfway through the album and Aaron's time being chiseled away by his solo album and supporting tour.

Due to the seriously pissed off atmosphere, the rock that was produced during the thickly tense moments gave birth to a recording that mirrored the rage. Staind's latest self titled album has brought Staind full circle with sounds reminiscent of their 'Mud Shovel' days. The band put the entire process of making the album into documentary form and it is free for anyone to watch. Hell, watch it now!
