Spectrum Medical Group will be opening a new clinic on Monday targeted specifically at West Michigan residents who are either uninsured or underinsured. According to The Rapidian, the clinic will be a family-medicine clinic, and will be by appointment only in hopes of keeping wait times for patients down.

Another huge aspect of the CMC will be it's bilingual and bicultural staff, and they know that many of their clients and patients will be immigrants who are either underinsured, or have no insurance at all. The staff at the clinic will include a regular physicians as well as social workers and a mental health care provider. Another doctor, several physicians assistants, and one more mental health care provider will be added in the coming months.

Other CMC features include a pharmacy, medication reviews and care coordinators that will connect patients with other services in the community. The clinic will also work closely with a pain and substance abuse specialty clinic in the building.

The clinic is located at 75 Sheldon Boulevard SE.
