The terrible wildfires in California and Nevada have burned hundreds of thousands of acres. One fire has quickly grown in size over the past day, making it the biggest wildfire in California history.

Smoke from those fires has now traveled hundreds of miles extending into Michigan.

On Monday, the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City shared a graphic showing how far the smoke has reached.

Two days earlier the smoke was still far west of Michigan.

Michigan firefighters are among those currently battling the wildfires on the west coast.
