Slipknot performed for the very first time since the death of bassist Paul Gray a little over a year ago. The surviving eight members made their emotional return June 17 at Terravibe Park in Athens, Greece.

The band came out wearing their classic masks and red jumpsuits. Gray's pig mask and jumpsuit were placed symbolically next to drummer Joey Jordison. Former Slipknot guitarist Donnie Steele filled in on bass duties offstage.

In the clip below, Slipknot pay tribute to their fallen brother and bust into a brutal performance of "Duality" with the crowd singing along as loud as they can.

"As you know tonight is very emotional show for us but it is not, not, a negative day," singer Corey Taylor told the 25,000-strong crowd. "It is a positive day. A day for celebration."

Celebrating is exactly what they did. Slipknot will headline the rest of the Sonisphere Festival in Europe this summer. No U.S. dates have been announced yet, but I'm hoping that changes soon. The full set list is below via Kerrang!.
