The Intersection in downtown Grand Rapids has been booking great concerts in 2013. That trend continues with their latest show as Los Angeles alt-rockers Silversun Pickups will perform at the venue in June.

Silversun Pickups have been touring in support of their fourth studio album Neck of the Woods, which was released almost a year ago. The band will already be in Michigan when they perform at Metallica's Orion Music + More festival June 8 in Detroit before they come to Grand Rapids on June 12. It's unknown whether bassist Nikki Monninger will be back on the road with SSPU after giving birth to twins late last year. Sarah Negahdari from the Happy Hollows has currently been filling in for Monninger.

Opening for Silversun Pickups is another excellent band out of North Wales called The Joy Formidable. The trio released their second album Wolf's Law back in January to great reviews. The Joy Formidable will also be at Orion Music + More the weekend before the show.

The first 100 tickets are $20 in advance and $25 after that, and go on sale this Friday (April  26) at 10AM at the Intersection box office and SectionLive.com.
