I grew up in South Haven, Michigan. Gotta love the Lake Michigan shore — the lakeshore. I still feel a yearning for the beach, pretty much daily. I moved to Grand Rapids to go to Calvin College, fell in love with GR and have been here ever since! (Go Beer City USA!)

I’m a big fan of crime TV, the ’90s (scrunchies! “Saved By the Bell!”), my own rude and feisty cat, the beach (you may have thought I covered that already, but I really really love it, OK?), reading people watching, drinking on patios, playing the most inappropriate cards in Cards Against Humanity and my dear dear family.

Donald Trump Tricked into Retweeting Pic of Serial Killers, Inspires Trend Asking Him to Retweet Famous Villains

Why is it so easy to hate Donald Trump? Well, there's the hair. The face. The arrogance. He seems to have an opinion everything (most recently making comments about the Ebola Virus). Ok, so there are a lot of reasons. Adding to that list: He's an internet troll and is always calling people "losers" and trying to get into fights on Twitter. Which is funny, because The Donald kind of sucks at Twitter. In his most recent screw-up, he was fooled into retweeting a photo of infamous serial killers.

Is Three-Boob Girl Fake? Proof of Fake Jasmine Tridevil’s Elaborate Hoax [Video]

On Tuesday, Free Beer and Hot Wings introduced us to Jasmine Tridevil, the 21-year-old Florida woman who claimed to have undergone a $20,000 plastic surgery procedure to add a third breast to her body.

Why? Well, she's just so darn sick of getting all this attention from men. She wanted to make herself unattractive and thought an extra boob would do the trick. Also: The girl wanted a reality show.

As you may have guessed, Jasmine is a fake and the whole thing is a hoax. However, the real story behind the whole thing is pretty nuts too.

New Study Finds That Like, I Mean, Saying ‘Like’ All The Time Isn’t All That, Like, Bad

I had a high school English teacher who counted "ums" "ahs" "likes" "I means" and "you knows" during speeches. Every time we uttered one of these "filler" words, we got points deducted. How, like, unfair! My teacher, along with many others, thought that using these filler words turned off listeners and made speakers sound unprepared, dumb, or anxious (or all of the above). Well, Mrs. Strict Language Nazi can shut it, because a new study has shown that using these words to fill in pauses in conversation really isn't so terrible.

How to Download Apple’s iOS 8 Without Deleting Your Whole Life

So I'm a holdout. Not only have I not yet downloaded the new iOS 8 update... I'm still rocking the iOS 6. Dude, I know. What's my reasoning for not wanting to embrace the future? Well, I had a bunch of friends who upgraded to iOS 7 and lost EVERYTHING. I hoard pictures, texts, even friends' old phone numbers (Hey, deleting things is hard), so that would be a big problem for me.

Clutch Rocked the Orbit Room in Grand Rapids [Video]

When I asked for tickets to the September 13 Clutch show at the Orbit Room, Metalhead Ned looked at me funny. I get it, my look doesn't scream "ROCK!!!". However, to my credit, I knew one Clutch song (Yes, "Spacegrass". Which honestly, I always thought was titled "Jesus on the Dashboard"...)

Mostly, I explained, my boyfriend wanted to go. "Yeah, he seems like a Clutch fan", was Ned's response. "Um," I thought, "What does that even mean? Because he has a beard?"

After seeing the show, I realize it's a pretty awesome compliment! Because Clutch fans are some of the most passionate, excited, loyal fans I've seen!

Grand Rapids Remembers 9/11 with Boy Scout Salute, ‘Never Forget’ Exhibit at Ford Museum

As the nation remembers the tragic events of 9/11, so does Grand Rapids.

Today marks the 13-year anniversary of the attacks on the towers of the World Trade Center in New York, Sept. 11, 2001. A hijacked plane struck The Pentagon outside Washington DC and another crashed just outside Shanksville, Pa. Almost 3,000 people lost their lives, including firefighters, rescue workers, and police officers trying to aid the victims.

Today we pledge to never forget those people and to never forget the events of that day.

A day-long Boy Scouts salute, a special remembrance program, and "9/11 Never Forget" mobile exhibit tours are taking place in at the Ford Museum in Grand Rapids today as we remember 9/11/2001.

Nickelback Premieres ‘Edge of a Revolution’ Clip [Video]

On Friday, Nickelback officially premiered their music video for "Edge of a Revolution," the lead single off their upcoming studio album "No Fixed Address."

The video features news footage of cultural and political protests spliced in with the band performing in front of a classroom of kids who seem really mad. You can tell because the uniform clad tweens start throwing desks and chairs and ripping up their notebooks. Also, bees. Because... bees.
