Hey Guys I’m Jackie, a recent college graduate from Ferris State University, and a full time on air personality for 97.9 WGRD, you can listen to me every night 7pm-Midnight!
I was born in Lansing, but grew up down in Portage. I love Grand Rapids, and that includes going to check out all the local music GR has to offer, sing karaoke every chance I get, and shop at all the local thrift stores and malls (I KNOW HOW TO BLOW MONEY BABY!)
Some important things you should know about me: I eat very badly, that includes pizza, burgers, french fries and anything else that I probably shouldn’t eat… BUT I make up for it by being an extremely avid runner, I ran cross country and track for Ferris State for 4 years plus a red-shirt year. I read more than anyone I know… and of coarse that includes Harry Potter and other fantasy style novels. You can catch me and my girls dressed up at every dorky movie premier you can think of!
I love working for WGRD and I love all my co-workers and alternachick sisters.

Cabaret Update!

We had our first audience the other day and while it was exhilarating dancing around in my skivvy's I had my share of hiccups, but all in all it was an outstanding performance by all! I wanted to share some backstage action here, I like to goof around so my girl Lynnae and I (definitely not paying attention to what was going on) decided to dance around backstage with shorts on my head

Jackie Gears Up for Opening Night of ‘Cabaret’

Last night was our first dress rehearsal for 'Cabaret' at the Grand Rapids Circle Theatre. We have had such a good time getting ready for this amazing production and yesterday was our first time to really see everything in action, with lights, makeup and costumes.
