Shooting in Southeast Grand Rapids Leaves One Man Dead

A shooting this morning in Grand Rapids leaves one man dead and  a police investigation is under way.

According to WOOD TV, police were called after residents heard multiple gun shots fired around 12:30 a.m. on Grand Rapids southeast side.

A 28-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds in the 700 block of Delaware Street near Eastern Avenue. The victim, has not yet been identified, died at the scene.

There have been no arrests that are connected to the shooting and Police have no suspects at this time.

Apparently this is the sixth homicide of the year according to local records. The first five all happened in January.
