Shinedown frontman Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers embarked on an acoustic tour last week.

They kicked of their Dec. 4 Destin, Fla. show with a tribute to Scott Weiland, performing Stone Temple Pilot's "Big Empty", Blabbermouth reports.

Scott Weiland was found dead the night before on a tour bus before a concert with his band The Wildabouts in Bloomington, Ind. While an official cause of death has not been released, Weiland is reported to have suffered cardiac arrest.

Smith and Myers will bring their tour, a mix of Shinedown favorites and covers of classic and contemporary hits, to two stops in Michigan: Dec. 15 at the Machine Shop in Flint and Dec. 16 at Ground Zero in Traverse City.
