The 2012 Rockstar Energy Drink UPROAR Festival boasted a heavy lineup for its Rock The Rapids appearance Tuesday night (August 21). Shinedown, Godsmack, Staind, P.O.D. - who filled in for Papa Roach - and Adelitas Way kept the crowd energy high throughout the show. Check out our photos from UPROAR by scrolling down below.

Shinedown have had quite the 2012 so far, releasing their fourth studio album, Amaryllis, earlier this year. The band wasted no time getting the crowd pumped, launching their set with the title track from their 2008 album, The Sound of Madness. They jumped into "Diamond Eyes (Boom-Lay Boom)" and never let go since. Shinedown kept the ladies in mind, dedicating their crossover hit "If You Only Knew" to them. One of our favorite highlights from the night was frontman Brent Smith and guitarist Zach Myers performing their cover of the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic, "Simple Man," at the sound board.

Godsmack seemed to enjoy themselves during their 65-minute set before Shinedown closed out the night. Lead singer Sully Erna didn't seem too hampered by a vocal injury that he suffered last month. Erna seemed to struggle on a couple of songs, one of them being "Voodoo," but the crowd didn't seem to mind. Staind performed songs from their recent self-titled album as well as going through their catalog. "Mudshovel" was probably our favorite performance from Staind last night.

P.O.D. did an admirable job filling in for Papa Roach, who bailed from the lineup due to unforeseen circumstances. The group seemed a bit directionless at times but still managed to put on a decent show. Adelitas Way continues to show how hungry they are as a relatively new group. The band stopped by the GRD studio earlier in the day to talk to JT and play a couple of songs.
