Update: Rodrick Dantzler is believed to have entered a home near Soft Water Lake near Plainfield Avenue, north of I-96. He allegedly kicked in the back door of the home and three shots were heard by authorities. Dantzler has entered negotiations with the police.

Original Story: According to WZZM 13, Grand Rapids Police are on multiple crime scenes on Grand Rapids' northeast side.

Grand Rapids Police Chief Kevin Belk told WZZM's crew that a total of seven people are dead, including one child.  Four bodies were found in the 1200 block of Brynell NE.  All four were adults.  Three were women.

At a second location in the 2000 block of Plainfield NE, three bodies were found including one child.

The suspect in the shootings is Rodrick Shonte Dantzler, a black male, 6'2", 260lbs, 34 years old.   Police believe he is armed and extremely dangerous.  They are also looking for a car, a cream or tan 2003 Lincoln Town car, license plate BWK 2308.

If you see this man, or his car, you are asked to contact police and avoid the suspect at all costs.
