School Put On Lockdown After Threat From Parent Over Sex-Ed Class [Video]

A parent of a fourth grader in Decorah, Iowa caused five schools in the district to go on lockdown Monday after he sent an email that school officials deemed "threatening".

Bruce "Deano" Divers, Jr. was unhappy with the sex-ed curriculum that his 10-year-old was learning. So instead of handling things like a grown ass man, he sent an email to the school, using phrases like, "When I retaliate Monday morning..."

That phrase specifically caused the schools to go on lockdown and for Divers to be arrested and charged with two counts of 2nd Degree Harassment and one count of 3rd Degree Harassment.

The superintendent of schools said that Divers could have simply asked that his child not be a part of that class.

As of Tuesday morning, all school activities were back to normal.
