King of the Wing is coming this Monday! You'll get to try a bunch of wings from restaurants and caterers and decide who's got the best in West Michigan!

It's all happening at Divani on Ionia Street downtown Grand Rapids. We went and checked it out today to sample the delicious wings Divani will be serving up on Monday, and, of course, enjoy some awesome cocktails!

Chef Jeff told us all about the amazing wings Divani will be serving up. The wings are marinated overnight in a spicy chili sauce, then slow braised in duck fat, making them extra tender.

The wings are then breaded in panko bread crumbs and deep fried. Then Chef Jeff really spices it up, hitting the wings with honey jalapeño sauce. Crushed Wasabi Peas are added for crunch, and the wings are topped with shaved radish and lemon zest.

Yum!

These wings really are the perfect combination of sweet and spicy! Plus, I love the crunch of the Wasabi Peas!

Divani has an amazing bar as well! Mixologist Becky told us all about their signature cocktails and we got to try the Raspberry Rico Suave ( jalapeño infused tequila, triple sec, raspberry simple syrup, freshly squeezed lime) and the Midsummer Nights Shrub (tequila, shrub with cucumber, watermelon, sherry vinegar and brown sugar, organic agave nectar, freshly squeezed lemon, prosecco sparking wine, thyme). The Shrub won the Grand Cocktail 2015 competition!

Divani has tons of great beers too! Plus we found out something really cool -- Oberon Day, the release of the 2016 batch of Oberon is Monday, March 21...the same day as King of the Wing... and Divani will have Oberon on Monday to celebrate with us at King of the Wing!
