Things are about to get busy for Saliva. The band, which recently debuted their single 'Rise Up' here at Loudwire, have now announced the full details of their forthcoming album of the same name. Plus, they've revealed an extensive tour to promote the new disc.

The 'Rise Up' album will arrive April 29 via Rum Bum Records and the band has just revealed the artwork (pictured). The band worked closely with producer Bobby Huff on the album, which finds the group reclaiming some of the gritty rock they generated early in their career while allowing new frontman Bobby Amaru to put his own stamp on the band's material.

In an interview we conducted with Amaru, he told us, "[This is] definitely the album we wanted to make. We wanted to kind of get back to what Saliva was about. And also to not be afraid to try some different things that we never really tried before."

Saliva have been laying the groundwork for their return by allowing fans to become familiar with Amaru on tour in recent years and with the new album now en route, they'll work in even more material from the 'Rise Up' album on their current run.

Saliva is currently on the road with dates booked into June, including two Michigan performances -- March 27 at The Token Lounge in Westland and June 13 at Double JJ Resort in Rothbury.
