I don't know how I feel about this quite yet. Resident Evil 6 was such a disappointment to me.

Every time I ask someone what they thought of RE 6, it's usually met with an: "Eh. ... It was OK." I have yet to hear that it was awesome, which sucks.

Then, I heard that there there is a possibility of a Resident Evil 7 survival horror game on the horizon and that the new game may be announced at E3 2014, which is June 10 to 12 in Los Angeles. And where I normally was excited, I feel kind of "eh" about it.

I have been a huge fan of Resident Evil ever since its beginning.

Watching my brother play RE on his PS1 was exciting and I only hoped to play it.

Eventually, I did and I found it to be a lot of fun! The puzzles, zombies, storyline, etc. Resident Evil was defiantly my type of game. Resident Evil 1, 2, 3 and Code Veronica were all great games!

Then, out of nowhere, Resident Evil 4 came around and changed everything. It was such a damn good game.

Resident Evil 5 was next and was good, but not as good at 4 was. Then, 6 was released and just bombed; it became too much of an action game.

Resident Evil 7 is going to have to really surprise me if it wants to win me back. Maybe stop going after new virus' and go back to the roots of what made the game so awesome.

Resident Evil had a rich story, but seemed like it was quickly forgotten over the years. Plus, stop focusing so much on the shooter aspect of the game and give us some puzzles to figure out, as opposed to holding our hand the entire time.

Variety is the spice of life, man!

At this point, I am wondering if Mario will have a gun in his hand at some point.

Resident Evil 7 doesn't excite me that much. Who knows, though. When I see the first trailer, I might get excited for it.

However, if they make Resident Evil 7 like Resident Evil: Revelations, then we may have something good on our hands here.
