Rotting Radishes in NE Pennsylvania Town are Causing it to Smell Like Death

Lycoming County STINKS. No, literally, just ask its residents. "It's enough to gag you," said Don Wilson, "A dead deer smells better than that." At first, people thought it may be the Jersey Shore's sewage plant but when Newswatch 16 stopped by, they smelled nothing different than usual. It turns out that the smell is really just rotting radishes.  Yup, radishes.

Because it's January and 50 degrees, it's caused the radishes to decay earlier. According to the T.A. Seeds president, radishes feed off of natural nutrients left in the soil and usually, by the time the weather warms up in spring, the radishes are already rotted away.

But don't worry, Lycoming County.  The smell should go away once it gets colder! We bet they are just hoping for some snow now!
