Return Of The Dude, Rhett and Link + More – June 23 FBHW Show Recap
Hour 1
Zane told us about the biggest news story of the last few days: the penguin who got lost and swam 2000 miles in the wrong direction and ended up in New Zealand. There's lots of controversy now about whether he should be sent back to Antarctica or not. We had an update on the guy we talked about the other morning who robbed a bank because he could not afford the medical care he needed. It turns out he was eligible for free healthcare at a clinic just a few miles from his house! We were also updated on Ted Williams, the homeless man with the golden voice. He's back in rehab and no one is surprised.
Hour 2

Free Beer's wife asked him if he wanted to go on a double date and after originally saying yes, he quickly changed his mind after he realized the other couple had recently broken up. He didn't want to be part of the awkwardness, but we encouraged him to definitely go so he could tell us about it. Joe is on day 2 with his CPAP machine. It has changed his life and he's sleeping much better. We talked about a study that looked at the link between weight loss and gain and specific foods. The results weren't really that surprising and we learned that anything potato-based will cause the most weight gain. We talked about the 7 year old kid that led cops on a 20 mile police chase at speeds of up to 50 MPH. All he wanted to do was drive to his dad's house! Check out the news story in the Video Reel.
Hour 3
A Southwest pilot is in trouble for accidentally broadcasting a conversation with his co-pilot. He did not know that his mic was keyed on and the entire thing was recorded. You can hear that in the Cool Links section. We played some classic commercials from Rhett and Link this morning. They're the guys that did the commercial for Red House Furniture, Cullman Liquidation Center and many more. We then talked to Rhett and Link in the next segment about their business and new TV show that starts Friday. If you missed it, you can hear it on the Interviews page.
Hour 4
Zane told us this morning that his wife tried a Free Beer double down on him yesterday. We got Mrs. The Zaner on the line to defend herself and took a bunch of calls from listeners to see what their stance was. In today's FBHW Report, we played Dick Enberg's verbal gaffe at Wimbledon and also talked about how it was revealed that Ryan Dunn was drunk at the time of the accident. We closed the hour with a round of Dumber Than Zane Trivia, worth $2,800 from our friends at Cat Footwear.
Hour 5
A bunch of celebrities were busted a while back for really high-stakes underground poker games. We talked about this today and it was funny to hear the groups of celebrities that were hanging out with each other. Since it was such a big hit earlier in the show, we decided to replay the audio of Zane's wife doubling down on him about a parenting issue. Talk to you on Friday!
