Portland rockers and purveyors of fine facial hair Red Fang are currently tearing it up in Europe.

But next month, the Portland, Ore.-based band will be back stateside to kick off a U.S. tour with Big Business and American Sharks.

The Situation: Awesome! tour begins May 16 in San Francisco, with a stop the following day at the Scion Rock Fest in Pomona, Calif. Among the numerous artists playing the free festival are Machine Head, High on Fire and Crowbar.

The trek will then wind its way across the U.S., with a June 2 stop in Detroit, before wrapping up June 8 in Boise, Idaho.

As part of the Scion AV-sponsored tour, Red Fang will release a new single, 'The Meadows,' in early May. Fans will be able to buy a limited edition 7-inch during the tour.

In a recent Loudwire interview, vocalist Aaron Beam and drummer John Sherman told us some of their favorite places to tour. "France," Sherman said. "It just seems like the music fans there are just apes–t. They’re just super excited about having a good time. We’ve always just had a really good time there and the wine is delicious, the food is great."

"Yeah, I mean Europe is great," Beam added. "I think every single show we’ve played in France has been sold out." Sherman replied, "It’s insane, even though some shows are super small it’s still been a crazy good time."

Red Fang are touring in support of last year's 'Whales and Leeches,' which was very well received. It led to their late night TV debut in January with an appearance on 'The Late Show With David Letterman.'
