Canadian progressive metallers Protest the Hero will soon invade North America for a run of 2014 tour dates, with a March 3 stop at The Intersection in Grand Rapids.

The concert is not yet listed on The Intersection's website.

A strong roster of supporting acts have been announced, including Battlecross, the Safety Fire, Intervals, Night Verses and Motorleague. All those bands will appear in Grand Rapids.

Protest the Hero just finished a six-week European tour to jam fan favorites along with new material from its fourth studio album, "Volition," funded entirely by fans via Indiegogo.

Fans have been eating up the soaring ultra-technical attack of Protest the Hero.

While Battlecross, the Safety Fire, Intervals and Night Verses are appearing for Protest the Hero's U.S. dates, only the Intervals are accompanying the band on its Canadian dates -- including an April 19 stop in Windsor, Ontario, across the river from Detroit.

For the Canadian dates, Motorleague will hop aboard.
