It’s been snowing for the past few hours here in West Michigan.  Chances are, even if you didn’t know that, you would have eventually figured it out by just looking out a window or watching the news.  A big pet peeve of mine is how every time it snows, a bunch of my amateur meteorologist friends on Facebook decide to chime in and let the world know that it’s snowing in their neck of the woods.  These are actual posts copied from my news feed:

“It’s snowing in (town name here)!”

“Snow report!  2 inches and falling here in (town name here)!”

“I love watching the snow fall...”

This last one would have been acceptable, if not for the 4-photo album that accompanied the post with time lapse of the snow buildup on the driveway of the house.

I’d just like to make this clear.

YOU LIVE IN F’N MICHIGAN AND IT’S F’N FEBRUARY.  IT’S SUPPOSED TO SNOW.

When it snows in the Sahara or hits 105 at the North Pole, feel free to post away.  I know I’ll get fussy comments from people asking why I let things like this bother me, but deal with it.  We all have pet peeves.  This is one of mine.

Have a good weekend!
