Producer Steve Wants to Know: What’s the Strangest Thing You’ve Had in Your Mouth?

Earlier this morning on the show, we watched a video that really disturbed me. I mean, it REALLY disturbed me. I thought for sure I was going to throw up while watching it, but managed to keep it together. Apparently if you live in the city of Dongyang in China (yes, DONGyang), there’s a local treat that many of the natives eat on a regular basis.

That’s right. They boil eggs in the urine of little boys. Now look. I’m pretty open-minded when it comes to a lot of things, including crazy diets and fads. This, however, I cannot support. I’m pretty adamant on making sure that things (and substances) that come out of people do not go back in to me. In my own personal little bubble, I’d argue that everyone is pretty much on the same page about that. Sure, there will always be the weirdos, like the woman we talked about a few weeks ago from My Strange Addiction that actually DRANK her own urine regularly, but there will always be a few kooks. This story, though, makes it seem like it’s a pretty regular activity for a large portion of the population. I mean, it HAS to be if these pee-pee eggs are that readily available, right?

Way to go, people of Dongyang. You are officially no better than my dog Lola, who enjoys nothing more than eating her own poop on a regular basis.
