You'll soon be able to try beers like the Lincoln Lager, Thomas Heferson, and William Howard Draft at a bar coming to Portage.

The Grand Rapids Business Journal reports that a couple is planning to open a Presidential-themed brewery at 8302 Portage Road this fall.

Jake Lohse and Kayleigh Lohse have secured the site of the former Lazer Land building for the future Presidential Brewing Co.

Aside from beer named after Presidents, the brewery will also utilize voting. Patrons' votes will determine what beers are on tap.

Presidential Brewing Co. will have food too. One item they plan on serving is Beer Grain Pizza, crafted from the spent grain leftover after the brewing process.

The Lohse's explain on the brewery's website how their idea came to be:

Presidential Brewing Company was born out of a simple dilemma: it didn't already exist.  Brewery Owners Jake & Kayleigh Lohse share a deep love for craft beer, and a heart for a well-executed theme.  When the idea of a Presidential themed brewery formed, they were surprised to find out it didn't exist anywhere yet.  This discovery, coupled with the lack of brewery options in south Portage, ignited the beginning of a dream that would continue to be fueled in the years that followed."
