West Michigan's own Pop Evil have been hard at work on a new album since the beginning of the year.

And now we finally have a title and release date!

(I was kinda hoping the title really would be Little Yummy Monkeys like they joked in a behind the scenes video a few weeks back.)

Pop Evil's fourth studio album will be called Up and it comes out August 21!

The album is the follow up to 2013's Onyx and was produced by Adam Kasper, who's previously worked with Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam.

Kasper told Loudwire,

“Individually, these guys are all great players and writers. Collectively they are a force to be reckoned with. Musically this record is intricate, heavy and melodic. With their charismatic lead singer and a drummer that sounds like John Bonham and Dave Grohl’s love child, I’m more than excited about this one.”

The first single, "Footsteps", will be released June 1st-- stick with WGRD to hear the new Pop Evil song!

To go along with their album news, Pop Evil have released their third "Making of Album" behind the scenes video. Check it out and the other installments on the making of Up below.
