Grand Rapids' Pop Evil has managed to claim the top spot on the Active Rock chart for the second time this year with its single "Deal With the Devil."

That follows Pop Evil's other 2013 chart-topper "Trenches."

Frontman Leigh Kakaty said: “It’s been one hell of a ride in 2013! We achieved our first No. 1 record with 'Trenches.' And now 'Deal with the Devil' closes out the year end chart at No. 1.

"We are proud and humble on this accomplishment. We couldn’t have done it without our entire team. Thank you G&G, eOne, Rock Radio, our production team and last, but not least, our fans!"

Pop Evil's third album, "Onyx." was released in May.

Now, a super deluxe edition of the album will be unleashed Tuesday (Dec. 17). In addition to "Trenches" and "Deal With the Devil," the super deluxe version includes a remix of "Trenches" done by hip-hop icon Darryl "DMC" McDaniels, of Run DMC.

Pop Evil is currently on the road, with a performance Friday (Dec. 20) at The Intersection in Grand Rapids as part of its fall tour. The band is performing with Young Guns, Girl On Fire, Era9 and Deadwood Stone, and doors open at 7 p.m.

Other remaining stops for Pop Evil this month include Wednesday (Dec. 18) in Parkersburg, W. Va.; Thursday (Dec. 19) at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio; Saturday (Dec. 20) at the Madison Theatre in Covington, Ky.; and Sunday (Dec. 21) at the Westown Theatre in Bay City, Mich.

The band goes back on the road in January, touring with Stone Sour and Stolen Babies.
