Police are looking for two men allegedly involved in the murder of a Berrien County woman during a home invasion Sunday night. 

According to WNDU, 55-year-old Carla Jean Lewis was shot and killed in the basement of her home shortly before 6p.m. Sunday on Lawndale Avenue in Niles Township.

Lewis' husband, 49-year-old John Benton Lewis, told police two heavy set black males entered his house and shot his wife.

The men drove away in the victim’s dark-colored 2008 Mazda CX-9. The license plate is CMY3721.

According to Wood TV 8, police say the suspects should be considered armed and extremely dangerous.

WNDU reports that police revealed Monday that the victim's husband was arrested for unrelated medical marijuana charges.
