Police Say Kalamazoo Teen Deaths Were Shooting Accident and Suicide [VIDEO]

Kalamazoo Public Safety investigators are saying last night's shootings resulting in the death of two teens were likely a shooting accident and a suicide.

The victims were identified earlier today as 17 year-old Marsavious Frazier and 17-year-old Daquarion Hunter.

Police were called to the 1500 block of Clinton Avenue Monday night and found the two males with gunshot wounds in an alley north of Clinton.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

According to Fox 17, a witness told police one of the victims was "playing with" a gun when it went off and killed the other teenager. The person handling the gun then shot himself.

Witnesses say the victims knew each other and there was no ill will between them.

Nick Luttrell, a friend of both teens told Fox 17,

“I think it’s just sad that two lives were taken and it’s just a waste of potential. They’re both really smart and if they put themselves to it they could’ve done something really good in life.”
