New Sports Bar Catering To Women Is Offensive To My Delicate Lady Sensibilities

I am a woman. A woman who happens to enjoy sports. And while it's not often that I'll go to a sports bar to take in a Lions or Tigers or Red Wings game, it's been known to happen. Generally, the only thing at a sports bar that will irritate me while watching a game is the overly enthusiastic bros at the giant table who yell and high-five each other every time something even remotely positive happens. "The Lions didn't score a touchdown, but no one fumbled the ball! High five, bro!" *everyone slaps hands while I roll my eyes so hard it gives me a migraine*

That being said, I find no reason for there to be a sports bar that caters specifically to women, especially when it's done the way this new bar in New York City is. What way is that exactly? The wrong way.

Lebanese Olympic Beauty Jacky Chamoun in Deep Trouble for Her Topless Video

The Olympics have been pretty wardrobe-malfunction-free so far this year, which is very disappointing to all of us, I'm sure.  We were inches away from a nip-slip, but so far, no full-frontal.

Until now.

Free Beer & Hot Wings: A First-Person View of Sochi Skiing Downhill Course [Video]

GoPro cameras have really made it possible for us regular people to experience things that people much more talented than us experience on a daily basis.

Last week, "The Free Beer & Hot Wings Morning Show" posted a video of the terrifying and dangerous snowboarding slopestyle course at the Sochi Winter Olympics. The course was receiving some pretty bad reviews from many of the athletes, even causing some to back out of the competition after being injured during practice.

Winter Olympics: Why Do Olympians ‘Bite Down on Their Booty?’

By Meagan Hook | BSU at the Games

Chomping into the gold. Salivating over the silver. Biting a piece of the bronze.

One sees it with regularity during the medal ceremonies on Krasnodar-Teatralnaya Square at the Sochi Winter Olympics in Russia.

What started this trend? Is it made of something delicious that only Olympians know? Is it some kind of well-kept secret if you bite the medal you get special powers?

”There are only so many things to do with a medal, and the excited champions are usually appeasing requests from the gallery of Olympic photographers when they bite down on their booty,” said David Wallechinsky, president of the Netherlands-based International Society of Olympic Historians.

We Were One Inch Away From the First Nip Slip of 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi!

So far, the Winter Olympics in Sochi have been pretty odd.

From doors that won't let competitors escape their bathrooms or elevators, to the odd suggestions of where to put the Russian food!

What we haven't had, so far, are "wardrobe malfunctions".  Which, if you're like me, is the only real reason to watch women skating around in tight clothes, right?

Winter Olympics: Built for Speed, U.S.’ Innovative Under Armour Skin Suits Hit the Ice

By Allyson Burger | BSU at the Games

Since the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, U.S. engineers in sports technology and aerospace have joined forces on a top-secret project.

What was it? Super-secret spy technology? A faster than the speed of light aircraft?

No.

The mission had one sole purpose: to make the fastest speedskaters in the world even faster.
